1. What This Page Is For
This page explains how to exercise your data subject rights: under Turkey's KVKK Art. 11 if you're in Turkey, under the relevant articles of the GDPR (Art. 15–21) if you're in the EU/UK, and under the CCPA if you're a California resident. For background on which rights apply to you, see theKVKK Disclosure Notice and ourPrivacy Policy.
2. What You Can Request
- Access: a copy of the personal data we hold about you and how it's processed,
- Rectification: correction of inaccurate or incomplete data,
- Erasure: deletion of your data where KVKK Art. 7 / GDPR Art. 17 conditions are met,
- Portability: your data in a structured, machine-readable format, to you or another service,
- Objection: to processing based on legitimate interest or automated decision-making,
- Restriction: a pause on processing in certain circumstances,
- Withdrawing consent: for marketing communications or other consent-based processing (see the Marketing Consent notice, Turkish law).
3. Identity Verification We'll Ask For
To make sure a request is really coming from you (and that we don't disclose your data to the wrong person), we'll ask for:
- Your name and the email address associated with your Cookrange account,
- The specific request(s) you're making and any relevant dates/details,
- A form of identity verification (we recommend redacting anything not strictly necessary if you share a government ID),
- If you're requesting on someone else's behalf (e.g. as a guardian), proof of your authority to do so.
4. Response Timeline
- KVKK (Turkey): requests are resolved free of charge within 30 days; if the request requires additional cost, a fee set by the Board's tariff may apply.
- GDPR (EU): requests are answered within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests (you'll be notified if this applies).
- CCPA (California): requests are answered within 45 days, extendable by a further 45 days if needed.
