You walked 3.2 km. It shows up on today's numbers.
A printed diet sheet stays the same all day and is wrong by evening. Cookrange instead reads your phone's health data (steps, distance, active minutes) and shows calories burned on top of your day's target — 2,180 kcal can read as 2,410 after a 3.2 km afternoon walk. Regenerate your plan and the new target carries through.
Your log is never rewritten after the fact
Regenerating your plan doesn't change your history. Meals you've already eaten or logged stay exactly as logged — regeneration only builds a new plan going forward from that point.
Its input comes from logging and barcode scans
For Cookrange AI to work at all, it needs data first — that comes from your meal logs and your phone's motion/health data. The more consistently you log, the more accurate the suggestions get.
Free-text logging: "poured chocolate sauce on the banana"
Logging doesn't always mean scanning a barcode or picking from a preset list. Describe what you ate in your own words — something like "poured chocolate sauce on the banana" — and AI turns it into calories and macros added to your log. This confirms that entry; it doesn't automatically change other meals already planned for the rest of your day.
You can just ask
Type what's on your mind. The AI answers knowing your profile, your goal and your recent logs. Chat doesn't get its own quota — it shares the same daily AI generation limit (2 free, 20 on Premium) as plan regeneration and recipe generation.
You can ask by voice instead of typing
Tap the microphone icon on the chat screen and say your question out loud — it's transcribed to text and typed into the same chat box, answered exactly as if you'd typed it. This isn't a "hey Cookrange" assistant that talks back: the input can be spoken, but the answer is always written.
Boundary: it never restricts access to your own data
Premium buys more AI generations (more frequent re-planning, more detailed reasoning) — it never restricts access to your own historical data. See pricing for details.
